Captions are rarely written inside Instagram. They arrive from notes apps, Google Docs or a messenger, and they bring double spaces, stray blank lines and hashtags scattered mid-sentence. Paste the draft into the caption box, decide whether hashtags move to the bottom and whether emoji stay, then press Generate. You get even spacing and a tidy tag block, processed in your browser so the draft never leaves the machine. Only the first two lines show in the feed before the «more» link. If tags occupy them, a reader never learns what the post is about. A tag block at the bottom stays inside the caption — easier to edit later than tags parked in a first comment.
Only if you untick the emoji option. It is on by default, and every symbol — compound emoji, arrows, check marks — carries through untouched. Blank lines still collapse to a single break either way.
They stay exactly where you wrote them. The cleaner adjusts spacing and line breaks, it does not reorder words. Remember a link inside an Instagram caption is not clickable, which is why most accounts repeat it in the profile.
Roughly 2200 characters, and hashtags and line breaks count toward it. When a caption gets cut on publishing, the cause is usually invisible blank lines rather than the limit itself — which is what this cleanup removes.
Yes. Feed posts, carousels and Reels all use the same caption field, so the cleanup is identical. Reels tend to want shorter text and fewer tags, but the two-visible-lines rule applies just the same.
No. The cleanup runs in the page you have open; the textarea is never posted to a server and nothing is stored between visits. Close the tab and the draft is gone, so keep the original in your own editor.
